Therefore, they have invited social, political and individual agents to attend the event, which will take place in the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, to "support the victims and their families".

The platform has denounced that this is a tribute to the Civil Guard "responsible for thousands of violations" of human rights and that behind it is a "strategy of justification". "Acts of apology and exaltation of violence are clear and they are not required to be acknowledged or held responsible for the damage caused," he added. However, he recalled that there were cases in which the police had not yet sanctioned minors.

The Basque Government has highlighted the "change of course" in the fields of human rights, memory and victims. According to the platform, this strategy aims to put an end to the "effort, courage and hope" that has been carried out by the social majority in the last ten years. For this reason, they have called for reflection and to stop "pushing for revictimization" in the Basque Country.
