This Wednesday, April 9, the workers of MFS Sintering in Trapagaran (Bizkaia) will begin an indefinite strike. In fact, the process initiated by the management to close the factory and leave the 107 workers of the staff in the street is progressing, and they will go on strike to face the collective dismissal.
At the end of January, the insolvency administrator informed the workers’ committee (made up of ELA and LAB) that the intention was to establish an employment regulation file, moving forward with the liquidation. A consultation period on labour regulation is already underway, against which the majority of workers have decided to start an indefinite strike this week.
In 2023, the management of the company tried to apply a temporary employment regulation file. The workers, however, mobilized against the measure and managed to stop it. They produce automotive parts in the Trapagaran factory.
