On May 28, Bilbao began a hunger strike for “independence and socialism”. He’s already lost 16 kilos and was already struggling to drink in the summer. Through the protest he wanted to emphasize the value of the struggle and join the campaign launched by the AAEKM.
In fact, the movement called for a demonstration on Saturday in Bilbao that brought together about 1,500 people. In particular, they thought of the prisoners who do not adhere to the EPPK line, among whom the hunger strike in Bilbao was described as exemplary: “It is a model of humility and generosity for our militancy.”
Bilbao has been in extreme solitary confinement for the last ten years in Bilbao’s Puerto III prison, where he is repeatedly barred from communicating with family and friends, and is no longer able to receive phone calls, visits or letters from four people.
