According to the COVID-19 alert light, Donostia-San Sebastian would become a "red zone", according to the latest data. The count of more than 500 positive coronavirus cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last fourteen days is one of the limits for measuring the evolution of COVID-19 and San Sebastian has crossed that barrier according to statements to the media made by the capital mayor, Eneko Goia.

Next Monday, the Basque Government will include the capital of Gipuzkoan in the list of municipalities obliged to adopt exceptional preventive measures.

Regarding the hospital data, Goia has shown his "concern" about the situation. However, he pointed out that, for the time being, they have the capacity to respond to the situation.
