The Basque Country Live festival has once again prepared a wide range of music, shows and conferences under the slogan “Our Asthma in the Witch Field”. Although the names of some of the groups had already been mentioned, the full programme was presented yesterday in Bayonne. The festival will take place on the 30th of June and the 1st and 2nd of July, in the surroundings of the Garroa Castle in Lekorn.
The Concerts
In recent years, the quality, discovery and uniqueness of the music have been prioritized in the evening programming, and they will do so again this year. The following teams will play: Oum, Smokey Joe & The Kid, Mitchi Bitci Bar, Kumbia Queers, The Red Coffee Shop, Zea Mays, Ivy, Akua Naru, Wucan, Nova Twins, P.i.L.T., Duchess Says, GABLé and Marta Ren & The Groovelvets.
The Colloquia
The discussion space and the Ubelá Brigade will also offer a space for training to deepen feminism and sovereignty. They will cover the following topics:
- "Peace or patience? Self-determination in the peace process" (Liam O'Ruairc, philosopher and writer in Irlandesaki),
- "Resistance yes, but then what?" (The district of Errekaleor in Vitoria-Gasteiz, with representatives of the ZAD and the Eleak/Libre platform in Notre-Dame-des-Landes).
- a workshop to deconstruct the masculinist ideology
- lecture on the feminist economy
- Klown Workshop
The shows
As every year, there will also be a wide variety of shows:All right – La main s'affaire compainia, Dr Troll – La mogette magique, Larguez Les Amours – Cie Entre Les Gouttes, The books are made for walking, Elirale – Heart2, Heart Whistleblower Atx Theatre, Beyond the Limits..., Band of dixie, The force of illusion.
