On Friday, on the occasion of Black Friday or Black Friday, several initiatives have been prepared against the “day promoting consumerism”, as explained by Iñaki Elorza, a member of the NGO coordinator of Navarra.
On the one hand, the NGO Setem has joined the Critical Mass that organizes the cycling marches every Friday of each month to organize the cycling march on Friday around the #PayYourWorkers campaign. With this initiative they intend to denounce clothing shops and brands that do not respect the working conditions of their employees. The march starts at 20:00 hours from Plaza del Castillo.
Also, the Mother of Courage association has organized for this Friday a new day of swap party or clothing exchange in its shop on Sangüesa Street. It will be open from 10:00 to 20:00 in the afternoon and each person will be able to wear clothes in good condition to redeem for other garments. As Elorza pointed out, “the most recommendable is to bring a maximum of five clothes per person.”
On Saturday, for its part, the appointment will be the one set by the BDS, which has called a demonstration under the motto Palestine and Pareemos the genocide. The concentration will take place from 17:00 in the afternoon in the Golem Baiona cinemas.
The essential Africa cycle continues. Thus, on Monday, at 19:30, I will offer at the Civivox Condestable the conference Moussa Kanek African resistance in the midst of the crisis and conflicts. On Wednesday, the quote will be in civivox Iturrama. On the other hand, Sonia Fernandez will talk about her book The Secret Lives of Baba Segi's wives.
On Wednesday, organized by the NGO Coordinator of Navarra, an interesting round table will be held at the headquarters of the organization, on Calderería Street. Thus, anti-racist meetings will be held under the title Strategies to combat exclusion in the social protection system. Members of the Haritu, PMIZ (information point for migrants) and Paris 365 groups will participate.
