The urban guerrilla group of the Tupamanos National Liberation Movement in Uruguay stole some 40,000 pesos at police and fire headquarters and three banks and distributed them to the city’s poor. During the flight he met with the police and in the clashes three guerrillas, a police officer and a civilian died.
