Eight students and one teacher were killed by the Nazis in Prague, Czechoslovakia

Eight students and one teacher are killed by the Nazis at the University of Prague in Czechoslovakia. Two weeks earlier the Nazis denounced the murder of their classmate Jan Opletal by demonstrations against the occupation. The Germans then entered university residences and detained thousands of students and deported them to concentration camps. They closed the universities in the Czech Republic. That is why today is International Students' Day.
