The armed workers were shot in the port of Pasaia with the Agasto Guard and the Civil Guard. It was the general strike of October 1934. The tension was high, as the strikers had had previous incidents with the guards at the port and started firing on the Police Collates. Six months after surrounding the workers, many others were seriously injured. 42 were arrested.
