The young Frenchman Jacques Andreu committed suicide following a demonstration of solidarity and denunciation of the situation of Euskal Herria and of the political prisoners before the Spanish consulate of Pau. It was an act of denouncing the death sentences imposed on the ethnic groups José Antonio Garmendia and Angel Otaegi.
