Police arrested 2,000 rented tenants in South African city of Johannesburg

In the South African city of Johannesburg, the police arrested 2,000 renters on an income strike. The detainees stated that they could not pay the rent because the rental office had been burned. Against the Apartheid government, in favour of the survival of the Blacks, these kinds of initiatives were organized, leading to income strikes of 20 months.
