The last mercenaries who participated in the attempted invasion of Girón Beach were returned from Cuba to the United States. Over 1,000 mercenaries were transported to Florida on this last flight. In exchange for the prisoners, the US government of Kennedy had to send the Cuban Government a boat with medicines and food worth $53 million.
