Deported robbers agreed to return home

The deportees were allowed to return home. In March, between 4,000 and 10,0000 citizens of Sara, Itsasu, Azkaine, Ezpeleta, Ainhoa and Zuraide were exiled. The poor reception of the French Revolution in the Basque villages, which had just left out the outbreaks of Lapurdi, Baja Navarra and Zuberoa or prohibit the use of Euskera in school, and the high rates of desertion of young Basques to the army in the context of the War of Convention against Spain, declared them "traitor peoples". The authorities that caused a social massacre forced hundreds of kilometres to move within France almost entirely. It is estimated that at least 1,600 people died on the road. He discovered that many who returned to their peoples had stolen and destroyed their property. In the next decades, many fled to America.
