Allies entered Naples, a city where workers had already liberated

The allies entered Naples, Italy. They didn't have to throw any shots, it was a military ride. The city was liberated. Faced with the abuses of the German occupiers, four days earlier, the popular uprising against Nazis and fascists began, Le quattro giornate di Naples, the first in a large European city. The rebellion shocked the Germans and paved the way for the allies on the front. It also laid the foundations for Italian partisan resistance.
