The writer, Euskaltzale and Abertzale ecclesiastical Aitzol was shot by the Francoists. He was captured in his flight from San Sebastian, imprisoned in Ondarreta and tortured. He was a cultural animator who is considered one of the most representative names of the Basque Renaissance.
