60 baserritars kidnapped sixteen cheeses with Ossau-Iraty designation of origin from a Leclerc supermarket in Pau. The Union of Peasants of the Basque Country wanted to denounce the damage that the department stores cause to farmers with the fall in prices. They denounced that lower prices lead farmers to lower the quality of products to adapt to new prices. The kidnapped cheeses were taken to the headquarters of Emmaus for distribution to those in need.
