The 'inclination' returns to undress
  • In 1616 Artemisia Gentileschi painted naked the allegory of the Inclination. 65 years later the painting was on the roof of the Casa Buonarroti of Florence and decided to cover the Tilt from the grandson of Michelangelo, Leonardo Buonarro, because apparently he was obscene, he was painted some fabrics.

Today, the technologies allow to remove the cloths and recover the original, and the restorers have chosen to give a double solution to the dilemma that it causes: they relocate on the roof of the palace a covered version to "maintain the historical value that it has obtained with that appearance", but digitally remove the cloths and perform a virtual naked version for the Inclination to be visible even as painted by Gentileschi.
