The world is not always party, it is never sad,” says the song Mendian gora haritza. And although there are a thousand reasons to sing joyful chants, there are also many sad chants. It seemed to me that little was said about them.

Life gives us a slap in the face, and I believe that the Basques of today do not know how to react. Turning sickness and death into taboo, we must hide grief and crying. That is our destiny. However, you have to look at those senses and face them.

It is difficult to suppress, especially in our culture, when the model is to maintain feelings within us. That's where the problem comes, some of us have even felt impostors, in an atmosphere of consensus, for example, at a funeral.

Because if the dead person is not very close to him, it is not well seen to cry. Although it's a terrible desire to hug someone and open the door calmly to tears, we can't do it because it's not our style.

But who can mark the affection that there is towards a person? Even if we weren't in the closest circle, we could feel that death deep inside, because I was a friendly person, good friend, or just because we loved her. However, with dry eyes, the heart overflowing. Crying in solitude for these things is really sad.
