Vendaval. LA FURIA. Autoekoizpena, 2017.

Three or four years ago, I met La Furia, a rap singer with a name of war. I later learned that a brave song directed to Alfonso Alonso in relation to the abortion bill had made him known in various forums. The status of woman and, consequently, the passion for struggle emerges from the bowels. So he decided for a long time that rap was going to work as an instrument for women's empowerment and, of course, also for getting rid of it. Not only that: besides singing and writing her songs, she organizes and runs workshops to empower women, and the results are in sight; or if you haven't seen them yet, be attentive!

Furria has always written it and that is noted in the songs of this album – even if he has not written the words –. Although in some sections straight and raw street language, which is the brand of hip-hop, uses with rage, it has other nuances, precisely, of the yellowish poetry of the bowels.

Although he had written for a long time, he was in the south of Navarre until he began to climb the stage and advanced with determination. Gradually, starting from scratch, it follows its path. In 2013 he published his album No Clemencia, in which he showed that in his backpack are present, besides rap, other cultural influences he has never wanted to hide: coplas, jotas and others.

In this new album, however, electronics – simple – have taken a place. Vendaval is in itself plural, violent, sweet, whispering and full of rage. The Vendaval programme opens the work and follows the street rap. You call it heaven explodes mysticism reciting with dulzura.Brujas from the North has recitation and electronics. Puppies are also straight, totally urban, with sighs and scratches. My soul baby sound, it's beautiful. Although it is a poetry that has a lot of Flamenco and Arabic affection. Hip-hop with a soft dark home suit. I would like to live the breath that hides the box of dolls' ringtones. The dictionary of bad life features minimalist electronics. And finally, the I need rap has a lot to sing. n
