He is considered a painter: “I am a painter or at least I work with the painter’s point of view. I mean a way of seeing, and that never changes, even if it's other disciplines. I can do different things, but the point of view is always the same.” However, he has also made sculptures, and lately Manu Munistrategy andikoetxea Markiegi (Bergara, 1966) works with these two intermediate works.

She told me she was going from high school to paint, that her parents wouldn't give her time if she was in the studio. The course, learning Fine Arts, served him to unlearn what he knew. Then he spent a few years in Arteleku, in the early '90s, learning, doing workshops, painting, in the library: I was looking at all the catalogs, I was about to get the new ones.
