We read it in the digital version of The Guardian. In the road sign it says so in English what we would translate to Basque as: “Do not include heavy vehicles”, and the Welsh translation: “I’m not in the office. Please send me back.” How could this happen? Well, someone from Swansea Town Hall emailed the translator to translate the English phrase into Welsh and the email automatically sent the translator a message (“I’m not in the office...). The city clerk takes the message and puts it on the sign. That manager wouldn't even have a Welsh track record...
