It is not yet a year since the Navarrese Institute of the Basque Language (later renamed Euskarabidea) was created. Before the calm of the summer holidays, however, a whirlwind of waves is created. The director and manager, Xabier Azanza, has recently fired the Director of Consulting and Research, Mikel Aranburu, as Azanza points out that they have not joined in the professional field. That is, they have had disagreements in the management of the organization.

On the other hand, the economic crisis has also affected the Government of Navarre and the President of the Government of Navarre, Miguel Sanz, has announced budget cuts. The Basque Country, like many others, will be affected. The issues that were related so far will not be subject to reduction, but those that are still to be determined, such as the subsidies that the media should receive and sociolinguistic research.
