Gerardo Luzuriaga, librarian and members of the Joana Albret Seminar Argia.com: "Having the Basque Library in Tabakalera made no sense, but there is much less to put it in Koldo Mitxelena. At the last moment, the Library of the Basque Country has been taken out of the Tabakalera project and has had to find any urgent solution (...) Most of the other Autonomous Communities have their own headquarters, resources and personnel to carry out the functions of the General Libraries. Why not in the UK? The Koldo Mitxelena Library has worked well so far, provides a wide range of services, has a large number of users; will all Gipuzkoan readers be left without services from now on?"
Choreographer Filipe Oihanburu in Dantzan.com: "As we say in the North, I have studied ariz, walking. We Basques resist when someone from outside tells us something, but how much criticism between us! We have to learn from the world. Your place is beautiful, but go to other places. I thought New York was awful, open. I love the Italians very much, they love beauty and they are always in allegory, even in Greece, where local music is heard everywhere. However, in many parts of Europe, whether in France, England or the Basque Country, the same music is heard in bars and cafeterias, taqueradas! I don’t like that internationalism. You have to mix things up, but retain the uniqueness."
