Juan Carlos Mora has published through Ttarttalo the book Manual de genealogía e historia de la familia en País Vasco (Manual of genealogy and family history in the Basque Country). The work will be of great help to anyone who intends to make their family tree. In addition to explaining the steps that must be taken to do so, he explains in the book where to go to know one’s lineage, surname and genetics and details of the types of genealogical trees that can be made. This work, written with the Basque Country as a whole, focuses not only on genealogy, but also on the study of the family – the houses, lands, livestock and other possessions that the ancestors had; the special names they could have, social relations, customs, honor... – in other words, on the way of collecting information that indicates the way of life of the families in their community.
