The Basque Government's Vice-Ministry of Language Policy has launched the process of creating an automatic Basque translator. Prior to the call to the public competition, the five companies that work in automatic language processing (Eleka Linguistic Engineering, EmergiaTech, InterLan System, Automatic Trans and Translendium) request information and submit a translation test. The presentations and tests carried out in April will be analyzed by experts and then, before the summer, a public competition will be launched. Lorea Bilbao, advisor to the Vice-Ministry of Language Policy, says that Spanish-Basque and Basque-Spanish translators can do so in two years. Will the new translator translate the Opentrad better than the accounts of the website of María José Usandizaga, who heads the list for the City Council of San Sebastián of the PP!
