The 62nd edition of the Zinebi festival adapts to the new times
  • From 13 to 20 November, the Zinebi International Film Festival is held in Bilbao, which this year marks its 20th anniversary. The organizers have had to adapt the programme to the new times and that is why this year’s edition will also be able to be followed via the Internet.

The International Documentary Film Festival and the Zinebi Short Film Festival in Bilbao has adapted its programming and activities to the pandemic. The program will start on November 13 and will last until the 20 noviembre.El festival, which has so far made face-to-face editions, has been forced to adapt its programming due to coronavirus disease. Therefore, you will be able to enjoy the 62 edition in the room adapted to the sanitary measures and through the municipal website, as explained by the Ayuntamiento.Las tickets for the festival are already on sale.

Zinebi will offer in person the 121 films of this edition:89 short films, 25 feature films and six medium-duration films n.Golem Alhóndiga, Museo de Bellas Artes, Museo Guggenheim y Teatro Arriaga.En line, through the FestHome platform, you will see the films participating in the Official Section of the International Film Competition.

"Because they're safe places."

The City Council of Bilbao has decided to maintain the programming of the festival as "cinemas and cultural spaces have demonstrated in recent months that they are safe spaces". The organization has announced that the festival will be offered in all rooms that ensure the necessary safety and hygiene conditions. The capacity of the cinemas shall be limited to 50%, each space shall have half an hour of ventilation and disinfection of oxen, face masks, safety distance and hydroalcoholic gel available to users.
