The ads collect data that reflects the business of nursing homes. According to the announcements, only a quarter of the places in the residences of the elderly in Álava are public, while 60% of the places in private residences are financed by the Provincial Council of Álava.
Hala Bedi has been informed that there are a total of 1030 public places in Álava. The number of public places under contract is 294 and the number of private places paid through the Economic Service Related Benefit (EPSS) is 1097. The number of single private places that do not receive direct financial support from the Diputación is 887.
They point out that these data reveal the prevalence of the private model in the country. Most of these private spaces are funded by public funds. In the coming months, it has also been announced that 258 more private spaces will be created in Vitoria.
