We are a group of young people who are revitalizing the house of Santa Kutz that has been vacant in recent years.
In August 2016 a group of friends from Urretxu-Zumarraga started looking for housing to live in the village. High rents, mortgages... we quickly realized that the possibility of a home is not available to everyone.
Before this, trying to open the doors to a new path, we began to look at the empty houses. We realized that there are more empty houses in our country than we thought, and that their situation has worsened as the year progresses.
Santa Kutz is one of the houses that has been vacant for years. For this reason, at the moment we enter, we have been exposed to humidity, some part of the roof has fallen down, the doors have been broken, all the outdoor parking spaces and entrances have been filled with garbage, etc. We found them.
Our intention is not only to build alternatives to the housing problem, but also to take care of this house responsibly, respecting its neighbors and extending different offers to the people as much as possible. For now, we have carried out a huge cleaning work there and although we are working on repairs, we invite anyone to see the house.
In conclusion, we would like to thank the neighbors for their attitude and kindness towards us. Hoping you'll hear from us.
