This year, however, 736 hectares have been burned across the country, 55% more than last year, of which 464 have been mountain fires and the rest have been agricultural fires.
As for the extinction teams, the Navarra Fire Brigade made a total of 501 interventions this summer, 7% more than in the same period last year.
June was a cold and wet month, in which the extinction teams performed 57 outputs, which is lower than that given in this period of time. In the remaining months of the campaign, rainfall increased by 170 in July, 134 in August and 140 in September.
