On Tuesday, Soren presented IkasKilo, the character of the festival in the Plaza del Castillo in Pamplona.

As the organizers have explained, “IkasKilo has education at its heart and a new model in mind. He loves education so much that he has a place of education as his home. His walk is slow because he is committed to leaving no one behind. And because going slow also allows him to go long ways, achieving great and beautiful things by taking small steps." IkasKilo has a dream based on educational sovereignty.

The Good Living Neighborhood School is what IkasKilo wants. Its characteristics are:

• The Slow School:An educational model with a rhythm adapted to the individual to respect and nurture the development needs of the students, leaving no one on the sidelines. That through the natural and healthy local food, the dining rooms have the function of educating, between people, cultivating relationships with both food and producers.
• In a multilingual way: An educational model that will generate Basque students, based on the diversity of both the educational community and the sociolinguistic environment.
• About AberDiversity: The diversity of students being wealth is a characteristic of the collective nature of people and, as a result, it will preserve, nurture and mutually enrich diversity.
• From the NiZuGuador: It will promote the knowledge and respect of all the different individual and collective identities that students have, generating empathy and promoting respectful relationships.
• More places to stay in SorBizador:Having the indispensable possession of competences for the development of the person, which will favor education through creativity and both the free and the vital way.
• The Intelligent One:It will encourage the recognition, understanding and learning to manage emotions in order to develop self-esteem and healthy social and affective relationships.
• About the Neighborhood EskoLan:Education belongs not only to the school, but also to the family and the people, with an important responsibility and function, making the people themselves an educational center that seeks the active participation of all.
• Red Educative Center:The Barrio Buen Viva schools will be interlinked to collaborate according to common interests for the cultural, pedagogical and social development that they require, being these intersections the starting point of a system of their own at the Basque Country level.
• Educational Sovereignty: The development of the Buen Vivir school requires a great decision-making power and management of the educational project, curriculum and resources in the school itself, which is where the source of sovereignty is located, which would be structured from bottom to top and from small to large.

It is not the responsibility of a school to organize the party, as has been done in previous years.It will be organized between all the schools in the neighborhood and anyone who wants to sign up for one of the four work groups can do it here.
