- LAB, Steilas, CCOO, UGT and ELA have called for a one-hour strike on Tuesday from 12:00 to 13:00. In addition, there will be a concentration, from 12:15 to 12:45, in the Mikel Laboa square of the Leioa campus.

On May 21, at the Bilbao School of Engineering, a fatal accident occurred in which a worker who had entered through an emergency exit door during the incident and the accident fell down the stairs and hit his head severely. As a result, he fainted and was being held by the emergency services at the Cruces hospital, where he has been in a coma for a month and a half. In the end, the accident turned into death in the trail of baric past.
The LAB union denounced what happened: the aforementioned ladders did not comply with the regulations that apply to them and denounced other irregularities. In addition, the LAB reports that they have not received any information about the accident during the whole time that has passed since, neither from Osalan, nor from the Labor Inspectorate, nor from the Directorate of the UPV.
LAB, Steilas, CCOO, UGT and ELA deplore the fact that "accidents continue to occur until university workers lose their lives" in the UPV/EHU. For this reason, they call on “all workers to participate in the one-hour work stoppages and concentrations that will be carried out”.
