Benjamin Netanyahu has appeared before the Israeli Parliament and confirmed the killing of Hamas' leader Sinwar in Miham during a bombing of Gaza. Hamas has not yet confirmed the death of its leader.

Sinwar took over in October 2024, after his brother. In fact, his brother Yahya Sinwar was the leader of Hamas when the attacks of October 7, 2023 took place. He was killed by the Israeli army last year.
