The fact that on 25 October the French Government brought the ship Tonnerre to the coast of Gaza was very much pointed out in the French media. President Emmanuel Macron reported on the decision taken to "help hospitals in Gaza". There has been the public radio network France Radio and explained on 3 November the current capacity of the infrastructure: the hospital beds are almost empty due to lack of doctors. The journalist asks the commander of the ship how many blows can be dealt and the answer is: "Two severely beaten and two severe."

Faced with the strange need for attention from the citizens of Gaza, this position of the French State is as surprising as it is demanding. The World Health Organization data is: Sixteen of Gaza's 35 hospitals are inactive because of Israel's attacks. The health situation is very serious in Gaza and according to the NGO Doctors Without Borders there are 20,000 Palestinians severely beaten and unable to reach care.

The ship converted into a hospital is located near Cyprus and Lebanon. With a length of 200 meters, it has a hospital of 750 square meters, two operating points and a total capacity of 69 beds, expandable.

The French Army Minister, Sebastien Lecorno, wanted to make it clear: France has put "resources", but not everything can and asks other peoples to participate in the formation of the boat.

While the ship is almost empty, Paris is still in communication: Macron announced on 2 November that he will drive a second ship: Dixmude, also turned into a hospital.
