The residents of Errekaleor presented the Technical Inspections of Housing (ITE) in collaboration with the architects of the collectives Barcelona Posa’t Sostre and Oasi Urbà.

The architects have concluded that the general situation of the neighborhood is "good" and that the housing is "habitable". It is not the first time that a group of architects has verified the suitability of the houses of Errekaleor. In 2017 the neighborhood presented a report signed by sixteen architects that indicated the adequacy of the houses.

"The houses of Errekaleor are and have always been worthy"

The neighbours of Errekaleor have held a press conference to present the report of the technical studies. They say that "the houses of Errekaleor are worthy and have always been so", contrary to what the City Hall said. The city council has been accused of speculation over the eviction of the neighborhood: "Do not be deceived, if the famous sector 14 had not fallen under gentrification, the town hall and Ensanche 21 would never have had an interest in the neighbors and their houses. But they found the excuse to throw out those who didn't want to go and expropriate an entire neighborhood without respecting the neighborhood agency."

Errekaleor Bizirike said that the maintenance and improvement of housing was "excellent", based on the report. "We have been taking care of and repairing the houses that were clothed and filled with waste for ten years," they say.

The members of Errekaleor Bizirike have pointed out that they build a new community and organisational model and strengthen every day the political bases that underpin it. They also recall that, in addition to the EIT, reports such as the energy consumption study recently published by UPV researchers indicate that they are "on the right track".
