Anti-fascist call for Friday
  • A security rally is planned for this Friday 23rd in the Piedra de Alza Park. Several anti-fascist agents in San Sebastián have denounced that “a follower of Vox” is behind the call, which has also been called by the fascist agents Frente Obrero and Juventud Combativa.

They explain that although the motto of the rally is “no more crime in our cities/neighborhoods”, “anyone who knows the racist, macho and classist nature of these groups knows that what they basically mean is ‘no more migrants in our cities/neighborhoods’”. For these agents, “professional politicians and oligarchs have the heart of both our impoverishment and insecurity,” and they are the ones who must be “singled out”, “not the ones who suffer the most terrible consequences of all this.”

Anti-fascist agents believe that “racist speeches are trying to make us hostile to each other.” “But we know that authoritarianism against the most oppressed will not free us. We don’t want to be the loudspeaker of fascism, the only way out for us is to work for quality living conditions for every worker.” Thus, the call to “combat poverty, racism and fascism” was launched on Friday in Alza.

THE WORD OF IRUTXULO has spoken with the woman who has made the call, and she explains that the rally “has nothing to do with fascism.” Although he admits that Frente Obrero has joined the call, he assures that he knows nothing about it and that it will be a “peaceful rally.”
