In 1973 Mafalda, an anti-conformist child, appeared for the last time, and yet his reflections, complaints and analyses are extremely topical. The history of four generations ago serves today, as if the world had not changed. And the face of a five- or six-year-old is known by many, even by those who later emerged. The brand comes from the great artist Salvador Lavandou 'Quino', founder of Mafalda, who died in 2008.

This Argentine artist has died on September 30, at the age of 88. 'Quino' receives a greetings and thanks worthy of his talent through drawing, among others, of the Binetists. To begin with, the death of the artist has had a great impact on the Basque Country, and the cartoonists Unai Iturriaga and Patxi 'Zaldieroa' Huarte have paid tribute to the artist:
