Linked to the call for mobilisation of the Socialist Council of the Basque Country (EHKS) for May Day, the clamor against imperialist war is spreading throughout the Basque Country in recent days. Among other things, they have pointed out those responsible for the rearmament of the Member States of the European Union, as well as the companies that are being enriched thanks to the military industry.

For example, the main political party that is steadily increasing military investment in the Spanish state, the PSOE, which is the head of the government, has been placed in the spotlight. The PSE-EE offices in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Álava) and San Sebastián (Gipuzkoa) have been marked in this regard, where the following paintings have been read in the last hours: "No to rearmament! ", "PSOE hostile to the workers" and so on.

Companies that are enriching themselves in the Basque Country at the expense of war climbing have also been pointed out here and there, such as ITP Aero in Barakaldo (Bizkaia), Lau in Hazparne (Lapurdi) and Dassault in Anglet (Lapurdi). Not only have the three factories involved in the arms industry been stained with red paint, but they have also made several demands on them: "Against the imperialist war, no to the arms industry!" said a mural had been installed at the ITP Aero facility.

The EHKS organizes a national demonstration in Bilbao (Bizkaia) for May 1st, International Workers’ Day, No to the imperialist war! Under the motto. It will take place at 13:00, starting from the Sacred Heart of Bilbao. The Socialist Council of the Northern Basque Country also convened in Bayonne (Lapurdi) at 4 p.m.
