The association blames the pope for absolute ignorance and declares that homosexuality is not a disease and therefore cannot be cured. The association denounces that the words of the pope can have fatal consequences, because parents will want to “correct” the sexual orientation of their children, “and we know the consequences”.

The association believes that the Pope’s words strengthen the extremist currents in the Church that support homosexual exchange therapies. The association denounces that on March 7 and 8 the bishop of Bayonne wanted to organize meetings to accompany homosexuality, meetings that were later cancelled.

The association says the pope’s remarks would have been surprising to those who welcome the “progressive” messages of the Vatican. On the contrary, they are nothing new if we look at the concrete actions of the Catholic Church.
