Strong protests reject the government’s intention to raise fuel prices in Haiti

In the face of massive protests, the government has been forced to back down, according to Democracy Now. Two people are killed and foreign luxury hotels are attacked.
The blockade of roads and streets remains in force in the capital. The local airport in Toussaint Louverture is closed.
