At the request of the PPN and the UPN, the President of the Government of Navarre, Uxue Barkos, spoke about the arrests of Altsasu in the Parliament of Navarre. That what happened cannot be "reduced to a discussion in a bar environment", but not "dramatized as an act of terrorism". Regarding the arrests, Barkos said that they were not "necessary" and could be called to testify instead.
According to the Council, it is "serious" to describe the events as "terrorism". Laura Pérez explains that she has "the feeling of going back to the times of the past" and believes that it is "dangerous" how they are "increasing what happened, criminalizing an entire population".
He called for the prisoners to be released "immediately." Adolfo Araiz, Member of Parliament, said: "This case is a terrible political absurdity."
Barkos has been asked by the UPN and the PPN to expel the sovereign coalition from the government, but has been ignored by the president of the government.
