The Etxerat Association reports that Ainhoa Barbarin has had to return to prison following the appeal of the State Prosecutor's Office by the Central Prison Monitoring Court of the National Court and the rejection of the third grade. He returns to Martutene prison.

Urretxuarra was in the third grade since October 2022, by agreement of the Department of Justice of the Basque Government and on the proposal of the Martutene Treatment Commission.

In April 2021, he approached Euskal Herria from Picassen prison, 600 kilometers away. He has served 21 years in prison and next year he will serve three quarters of his sentence.

Lately the Spanish National Court has annulled the third grade of some Basque prisoners because the prosecution is appealing. Asier Karrera recently rejected the third grade of Etxarri's prisoner and had to go back to prison.
