The Free The Tamimi campaign has issued a notice informing Ahed and his mother, Narinam Tamimi, that they will be released in July. The day after her daughter’s arrest, her mother, Narinam Tamimi, was arrested by Israeli police for filming and broadcasting her daughter’s slapping of the soldier.

Before starting the video recording, an Israeli police officer shot their 15-year-old cousin Muhammad Tamimi in the face with a rubber bullet, seriously wounding him.

A week ago, Igone Mariezkurrena and Irantzu Pastor visited their home with the Tamimi family. The connection of this family with the Palestinian resistance has been narrated in the report The Tamimis in LUZ: the responsibility that the surname implies.
