They will be evaluative diagnoses and therefore have no academic consequences. The government explained in the note that these are studies designed by ISEI-IVEI and will serve to measure “linguistic communication, mathematics, science, society, citizenship and competencies in learning to learn in both official languages and in English.” Also, as the administrations have tried to emphasize, these studies “do not serve to make a ranking of centers”.
In the new panorama of Madrid, the possibility of cancelling the revaluations ordered by LOMCE seems increasingly accessible. At the moment, as we have already said, external exams are of no academic value. In the Spanish parliament the PP no longer has an absolute majority and in the face of absolute opposition from the LOMCE, the Spanish president left the precepts of the law in impasse and announced a “national pact”.
Sheets of objection for planting
However, understanding that this is a measure that responds to the LOMCE, and believing that the path instead of this type of studies is a continuous evaluation, the Meeting Point of Educational Platforms has called for the implementation of external tests as in previous years. To do this, it has objection sheets available on its website for parents who wish to comply, specifying that they do not authorize their children to carry out the diagnostic test. Also available on the web is a letter to the Governing Board, School Councils and/or Higher Bodies of the Schools, who wish to state that the school community is “against the diagnostic evaluation” and that they are “committed to taking the necessary steps so that we do not carry out this analysis.”
