- Both the feminist group PARE of Deusto and the City Council of Bilbao have called for public condemnation of the sexual assaults suffered by two women last weekend in Zorrotzaur and Bolueta. The appointment will take place tomorrow, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Deusto, next to the Frank Gehry Bridge, in front of the IMQ clinic.
The attack on Sunday is still under investigation, and as a result, the police have not provided much information. It is reported that the assaulted woman was abused and injured. Two men have been arrested as responsible.
A 17-year-old girl has reportedly been sexually assaulted in Bolueta. The attack took place on Saturday around 10:00 p.m., she said, near a parking lot. Police are investigating what happened.
In the face of these two attacks, all the parties of the City Council of Bilbao have issued a joint declaration to show "indignation". The feminist group PARE of Deusto has called for a mobilization tomorrow, Wednesday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m., next to the Frank Gehry bridge in the neighborhood.
